 Kenya Under Canvas:

In the Footsteps of Karen Blixen & Ernest Hemingway
DESCRIPTION:

This safari into the Kenyan bush is a dream wrapped in canvas, the narrative of which is shaped by the written accounts of Ernest Hemingway, Beryl Markham and Karen Blixen, who appreciated tented life in the bush. From your tented camp, watch the gripping action of predator and prey, and the delicate river dance of elephant, hippo, and crocodile. At dusk and dawn the sun dapples your tent with a myriad of colors and the night brings midnight blue skies, twinkling lights and the calls of the wild. Experiencing the immortalized parks and reserves of Samburu, Lake Nakuru and the Maasai Mara through canvas mark you as another explorer in whose footsteps someone else will follow.

CONSIDER:

Do you prefer luxury hotels or high-end tents? Or more basic and less costly accommodations? How about staying in a tree house? Would you like to go for walks or stick to vehicles? Think about a private dinner under the stars in the wilderness - its unforgettable!

Consider visiting the Serengeti at the peak of the wildebeest calving season, when over a million animals are giving birth!

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL:
Kenya's long dry season is from July to September, which also coincides with the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra. This is a very popular time to travel, but the country has plenty of reasons to visit outside of this period. In fact, the rainy seasons can be good times to travel as there are fewer visitors and you can admire the striking emerald vegetation, with only the peak of the 'long rains' in April and May being very wet.
