The Great Serengeti Migration Safari
DESCRIPTION:

Journey into the heart of East Africa. Visit Africa in February, when immense migratory herds of wildebeest and zebra congregate on the Serengeti’s short-grass plains, feeding and calving. Our adventure begins on the slopes of Mout Meru, walking through the village of Mulala learning about the rural lives of Tanzanians. Continue to Tarangire National Park, world-renowned for its especially large elephant population, and head to the lush Ngorongoro Crater, a massive caldera inhabited by giraffe, elephant, and black-maned lion. Spend a night at enchanting Gibb’s Farm, a working coffee plantation surrounded by lush gardens. Also visit Olduvai Gorge, the site of the Leaky family’s remarkable discoveries. The journey concludes in the Serengeti, for days amidst this incredible untamed wilderness where lion, cheetah, warthog, and hoofed animals roam. Enjoy time in comfortable tented camps and small lodges, chosen for their proximity to the seasonal concentrations of wildlife and uniquely African feel.
