Wild Africa

A Journey through Botswana & Zambia
DESCRIPTION:

This is the Africa that fuels the imagination. Botswana and Zambia feature the region’s best, diverse, and most remote wilderness. Camp in luxury mobile-tented camps along the shore of the Zambezi River in Botswana’s Chobe National Park and stay in luxurious tree houses at Victoria Falls. In Zambia, head into even more remote territory, and explore by vehicle, on game walks, or by motorboat and canoe. Animals are in high concentrations here – and, better yet, people are not. Botswana carefully controls its number of visitors annually, so you are less likely to see other safari-goers and an have the wilderness to yourselves.

CONSIDER:

Do you prefer luxury hotels or high-end tents? Or more basic and less costly accommodations? How about staying in a tree house? Would you like to go for walks or stick to vehicles? Think about a private dinner under the stars in the wilderness - its unforgettable!

OPTIONAL EXTENSIONS & ADD-ONS:

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL:
June through October are these countries' dry season, typically with warm, sunny days and chilly nights. During the dry season Botswana's Okavanga Delta water levels are at their highest, forming its iconic waterways. January and February are the wettest months, with many camos closed, but the remaining months can be a good time to travel if you don't mind an occasional shower, as there are fewer visitors, prices are lower, the greens are beautiful, and animals give birth. Although December - March are the wettest months, this is when Victoria Falls is most dramatic, when the 'smoke that thunders' lives up to its name.
